Princess Juliana Airport is here and is ringed with hotels, casinos, and restaurants. There is so much happening that we have split the area into two sections. Simpson Bay West is the area on the western side of the Dutch Bridge, closest to the Airport and Simpson Bay East is the area on the eastern side of the Dutch Bridge running through Cloe Bay to the French border.
The Airport and the Maho Complex near the end of the runway are on the western side of the bridge.
On the eastern side of the bridge (Cole Bay), one finds
SkipJacks where the fish is so fresh, they have a fish market.
Greenhouse Bar and Restaurant has an outpost on Billy Folly Road, reproducing their success in Pburg.
Shiv Shakti Bar and Indian Restaurant is across the street from Greenhouse offering great Indian food from noon until 10:30.
The Hideaway really is hidden away, but worth finding.
Champagne Bistro serves great lunches. Stop in and order great wines from Select Wine Cellar next door.
Pineapple Pete's motto is "Great Food, Great Service", fine as far as it goes, but doesn't mention the game room (pool, darts, and video games) and the live music.
Isola and Izi Ristorante Italiano are two of the finest restaurants on the island.
