This is a watercolor view of Simpson Bay taken from the hill leading to Philipsburg by Jill Alexander. She lived in this area for many years and has many more island scenes available at the Shipwreck Shops, Camaieu Gallery, Greenwith Gallery, Jewels and Linens, and Good Cards, and directly from her on her website. Original paintings and commissions are also available.

Very close to the Dutch bridge, on the Caribbean side of the road (south) is Endless Summer, selling quality swimwear. They also have a shop in Philipsburg. There are coupons on both sites.

Tri-Sport is in Simpson Bay just on the west of the bridge. They rent and sell bikes and kayaks and lots more outdoor equipment. Upstairs is Marci's Mega Gym 2000 with Body Solid exercise machines, free weights, stationary bikes, various classes, and Marci, the award winning Caribbean bodybuilder as your personal trainer.

Random Wind (left) leaves from Simpson Bay and takes you out snorkeling in the hidden coves on the French side, catching the rays on hidden beaches, and checking out the beautiful scenery. All this and an open bar, snacks, and a great lunch.
Celine is a 40 foot cat built by her Captain, Neil Roebert. She goes out for daily cruises and conducts a glorious sunset cruise around the lagoon several nights per week. On Wednesdays (and on other nights, if the demand is there) she goes out for a pub crawl, visiting three popular bars in Simpson Bay to sample their food and drink and affording seldom seen views from the water.
